Why do you think that Tim Burton has been categorized
as Auteur filmmaker? Is there a message told in the film?
Tim Burton is recognized as an
auteur of this generation due to how unique his style of work is. Tim’s work
shows consistency, which makes his work distinctive from others, for example
the actors he uses are often seen in a lot of his films, such as Johnny Depp and
Bonham Carter. Tim Burton is known for
his use of quirky unusual characters, which is a common factor in his films.
Also his storylines that he uses in his movies are often similar and always include someone who feels isolated and different from the people or places around them. The Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, etc.). The way that he inserts pieces of his own experiences and personality into his films is what makes his such a successful auteur, and separates his films so clearly from others who would aim for the Gothic style. Some people feel as if the auteur theory reflects the filmmakers true feelings or situations that they may have been in. He owned a dog that he was very attached to in his childhood, which could also explain the recurring theme of dogs such as Frankonweenie. A lot of Tim Burtons films are horrors but also carry through to other genres.
Good work this is what you need to do during your study times.
